Who we are
Hello, I am Josh, dog man, nature explorer, dancer, climber and yogi. For the past decade, I’ve been providing dogs of all shapes and sizes daycare, companionship, guidance and a fun environment to play with dog friends and just be a dog. Alongside me on this journey has been my trusty German Shepherd Doggo, the sweet, smart and sassy guide of our pack. Together, we’ve adventured, grown and made a great many friends along the way.
OUR JOURNEY
I started out doing pack walks with Doggo around the greater Wellington region parks, forests and beaches for 5 years. We made many connections within the industry in this time and shared adventures with daycares and other walking packs. Together, we enjoyed many memorable missions with lively and harmonious packs, most of all with Wolf Pack NZ. During this, we envisioned creating a space of our own- combining relaxation, structure and community. Over the next 5 years, we created our dog play land, to bring the adventure to our own daycare.
OUR SPACE
Under the watchful eye of our magnificent willow tree, we gradually transformed our spacious third of an Upper Hutt acre field. We added tyre trails, beam paths, ramps, tunnels and more for our dogs to wander, climb and explore around in fun and games. We also built up plenty of shelter and a big comfy hay bed for rest, adding to our sanctuary. We created our ultimate dog play haven, where they can come to connect, play and relax amongst nature and as a part of a pack.
OUR COMMUNITY
When your dog becomes a part of our pack, they will get to connect and grow with dog friends, forming long lasting bonds. We get to know each dog’s unique personality and energy levels so we can work with their needs for their development. Your dog might be timid and in need of confidence-boosting or over-confident and in need of regulating energy. Each dog will be looked out for and taught to respect other dog’s limits, letting them to find dogs of compatible natures and energy levels. We provide them with a range of companions, dynamics, activity and rest. This gives them a space to become more socially aware and well rounded to be joyful yet calm, amongst friends.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe dogs deserve a joyful and restful place of their own. So many dogs get cooped up inside at home or restricted on leashes when out and about. In our space they get to relax and vibe amongst their own as well as be wild and free, in fresh air and lush scenery. Our daycare combines friendly community, social development and play land adventure in a lush natural environment along with our own activity of wandering, dance, yoga and more to make up an ultimate play haven experience for your dogs to live their best lives.
